Municipal Natural Place "Penyes Albes"

Caroline and I had some time to ourselves yesterday so we took a walk up into the mountains behind our village, the Penyes Albes. There are several routes that we know of but we decided to walk up to the mountain refuge which is at about 500m above sea level between Montichelvo and Terrateig.

The routes around here have been well signposted for a few years now but we noticed that there are some new ones and when we reached the refuge we were delighted to see a large information board. It seems that the whole area here has been zoned as a new Municipal Natural Place and the Valencian government are spending millions of euros protecting it - Great news for all of us!!

Our 'mountain refuge' walk is now officially the "Ruta per les Penyes Albes" (PR-CV 390).
